NJ Spotlight Panel Participant

On March 7, 2019 I had the honor of being selected to take part in a NJ Spotlight hosted conversation with Education Commissioner Lamont Repollet.  The conversation was focused on the examination of the career and higher education opportunities for New Jersey’s high school graduates. The event was the first in a 4-part NJ Spotlight roundtable series, “Defining the New Jersey High School Diploma”.

From NJ Spotlight: “The discussion, also featuring Karen Bingert, Principal of Hillsborough High School, Akbar Cook, Principal of West Side High School in Newark, and Michael Parent, Principal of Passaic County Technical Institute, will assess the evolving value of a New Jersey high school diploma. The discussion will look to provide insights into what high schools should accomplish for its students and communities, and also delve into state and community roles in determining what a diploma should stand for in the future.”
