Our Culinary Arts department has a lot to be proud about – running a superb restaurant, challenging students to perform and compete at the highest levels in Pro Start and SkillsUSA, and offering culinary expertise at the side of excellent chefs are but a few. One of the great challenges posed this year was the opportunity to develop and prepare a meal for the NASA HUNCH Culinary Challenge.

I’m proud to say that their dish was rated in the top ten throughout the nation and they will be traveling to Houston, Texas for the final round of the competition. If they win, their meal will be prepared and sent to the International Space Station for consumption.
